Wrong country: check. Wrong weight: check. Wrong relationship status: check.
Guys, if there’s one thing you learn from this post, let it be this: it’s super dangerous getting a normal job! At least if you’re a freedom-loving, creative person who thrives on new experiences and beautiful surroundings (fellow ENFPs, gimme five).
I can hardly recognize myself after a few years at a safe, comfortable retail job. I took it for all the right reasons: to have a stable income after splitting up with my ex and suddenly needing to manage both bills and rent myself. And during the pandemic, this was one of few jobs that, instead of disappearing overnight, actually provided even more financial opportunities. It was definitely the smartest thing to do, but omg… this lifestyle slowly kills your spirit the same sneaky way daily smoking gives you lung cancer down the road.
I only work part-time and the rest was supposed to be spent looking for my next love and exploring my favorite tropical paradise. It went really well in the beginning but then the pandemic hit and the daily routine and doom and gloom of Stockholm, where I currently live, wore me down. So much so, that my waist got ruined by comfort food and I preferred staying at home to going out on dates. And it’s been a long time since my mood peaked higher than just boredom. This is NOT who I am. It’s time for some major damage control, and I’ve decided to bring you along on this journey.
Ok, here’s the good news: I know the secret to getting anything I want! Yep, you heard me. I’ve been a fan of the Law of Attraction for a long time and it has worked wonders for me in the past. (My old Swedish blog is full of LOA lifestyle guides and success stories, both my own and those kindly submitted by my readers. I’m actually considering translating some of them here, so stay tuned if you’re into that sort of thing.)
But just knowing how to do something isn’t worth much unless you actually do it. So, it’s time to step it up.
Here’s the LOA manifestation recipe: 1. Decide what you want to experience next (be specific) and intend / expect to get it. 2. Identify with this new version of you. Relax and take your attention off of anything that isn’t in line with that. 3. Keep your eyes open for opportunities and take action as soon as you feel the inspiration to do so. 4. Meanwhile, keep your chin up and enjoy the good things you already have going on.
First on the list is getting my gorgeous body back. Can’t wait for those awkward moments when I’m unable to walk past a mirror without stopping and staring at myself – even in public places. 😆
