I have arrived at my parents’ place and been spoiled in every possible way all day. Their new apartment is even nicer than I expected, based on dad’s room tour over video call. I’m sleeping on the couch, but it’s so huge that I actually have more space than in my regular bed at home. I got my own shelf in the bathroom for all my hair and body products. And the food is definitely not a letdown either.
If dad stuck to just the actual dinner, he’d be fine. It’s both tasty and healthy. But the desserts are just too tempting to resist (for both of us). So, naturally, we stuffed ourselves until we could barely move. Still, we somehow managed to go out for a little evening walk through their lovely neighborhood.
Dad and Lena live a bit outside the city center. It’s very peaceful here, with lots of charming little streets to wander around. I even stumbled upon a fountain sculpture featuring a bunch of different animals. Turns out this area used to be a farming village, and the sculpture is a tribute to those rural roots.
It’s 2 AM now, and dad and Lena have been asleep for a couple of hours already. I’d better get to bed too, otherwise our sleep schedules are going to seriously clash.
