It’s that time of life again! Once a blogger, always a blogger. I’m back online and this time it’s in English.

For those of you who don’t know, I ran a Swedish blog for almost a decade. A few years ago I decided to take a timeout and went completely dark. Can’t say the offline life hasn’t been nice but there’s something about having a digital home that appeals to me. Home, being the operative word. It’s really sad how content nowadays just disappears into the shadows on social media platforms. I follow some really talented bloggers on Instagram and cringe at how their well-written posts are doomed to…

1) be presented in a tiny font size without paragraph spacing
2) be forever hidden in their profile feed after the algorithm has maybe / maybe not displayed them to just a fraction of their subscribers
3) get surrounded by ugly ads for scammy mobile aps

And one day… poof, you’re either banned, hacked or deleted. Good luck getting hold of the support peeps. Cause you’re not the client, you’re the product. And not your domain, not your content, honey bunny.

So, call me old fashioned but my creative juices will be flowing right here where I’m the owner and the boss. I’ll probably post some small blurbs elsewhere but this is my digital diary, ranting space and the place where I might occasionally offer some words of advice. And if blogs are “dead” and I get zero visitors… well, then I’ll be thoroughly enjoying my own company. 😜
